Clingstone peaches are a medium to small peach variety that gets its name for the way that its flesh “clings” to the pit of the peach. This summertime treasure has a delicate texture and sweeter taste than other varieties. Characteristics include:

• Flavorich: This variety is the earliest to ripen and has a sweet and rich flavor with yellow skin and an appetizing bold red blush.
• Carored: These peaches have a nice rounded shape, velvety and red blushed skin with melting yellow flesh. 
• Springprince: The skin of the Springprince is a scarlet red over a yellow ground color, with firmer skin and a few split pits.
• Goldprince: These peaches take their name for their gold-yellow skin and are medium-sized, juicy, and meaty. 
• Zee Diamond: If you are looking for a peach that's firmer and larger than the other varieties and offers a balance between sweetness and acidity, Zee Diamond is an ideal option. 
• Zee Pride: This variety is a medium size and has a meaty, textured, and balanced taste.

When Is Clingstone Peach Season?

Clingstone peaches are harvested at the start of the season. They typically ripen around the second week of May, and some varieties are ready to be picked in early June. 

The harvest seasons for each clingstone peach variety are:

• Flavorich: May 12-20
• Carored: May 20-30
• Springprince: May 18-30
• Goldprince: May 20 to June 1
• Zee Diamond: May 20 to June 1
• Zee Pride: June 1-10
