No Crust Fresh Peach Pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 Cups Flour

1/2 Cup Sugar 

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg 

1/3 Cup Butter

4 Cups Peeled, sliced Fresh Peaches (about 6 to 8 medium-size) 

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/2 teaspoon grated Lemon Rind ( can omit) 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 Mix flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter with pastry blender, or 2 knives, to make coarse crumbs. Press 1 cup mixture into bottom and sides or buttered 9-inch pie pan. Mix Fresh Peaches with 1/2 cup sugar and lemon rind. Spoon over crumbs in pan. Cover with rest of crumb mixture. Press firmly into pan. Bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes.
