INGREDIENTS:
1 (15oz) box of butter pecan cake mix
1 (16oz) can of coconut pecan frosting
4 large eggs
3/4 cup of vegetable or canola oil
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of Dickey Farms finely chopped pecans
FOR THE SAUCE:
1 (14oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
1/2 cup of Dickey Farms finely chopped pecans
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the over to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, frosting eggs, oil, and milk. Blend until smooth with an electric mixer. Fold in 1/2 cup of finely chopped Dickey Farms pecans. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After baking, while still warm, poke holes across the cake with handle end of a wooden spoon.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until well combined. Bring to a simmer, then fold in 1/2 cup of finely chopped Dickey Farms pecans.
Pour the sauce over the warm cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes. Allow the cake to cool to room temperature before serving.
